    Corrections Policy

Accuracy matters. When we get something wrong, we fix it, we label the change, and we explain what was corrected.

    1. What We Correct

We correct any factual error in a published article, including:

    • Misstated facts, figures, dates, titles, or quotes
    • Misidentified companies, people, or jurisdictions
    • Misrepresentations of a company or person’s position
    • Broken or incorrect links to source documents
    • Outdated statements of fact that have since changed materially

    2. How Corrections Are Made

For substantive corrections (anything beyond spelling, grammar, or formatting):

    • The article is updated in place.
    • A “Correction” or “Update” note is added at the top or bottom of the article explaining what was changed and when.
    • The article’s modified date is updated (emitted as dateModified in structured data).
    • If the error was serious (for example, misidentifying a person, misstating a regulatory action, or misattributing a quote), an explicit “Correction” is added. Minor, non-material fixes are labelled “Updated”.

We do not stealth-edit the substance of an article after publication. Typos, broken links, and formatting are fixed without notice; anything that changes the meaning is logged.

    3. Retractions

When an article is fundamentally wrong and cannot be repaired with a correction, we retract it. Retracted articles are kept online with a clear retraction notice at the top explaining why, rather than deleted, so the public record remains intact.

    4. How to Request a Correction

If you’ve spotted an error in one of our articles, email the editorial desk with:

    • A link to the article
    • The specific text or claim that is incorrect
    • What the correct information is
    • A source or document supporting the correction (ideal but not required)

We aim to acknowledge correction requests within one working day and resolve them within five working days. Requests from the subject of the article are given priority.
