NEXT Focus: Prediction Markets

NEXT Focus: Prediction Markets was a half day summit held on 25 May 2026 at The Phoenicia Malta in Valletta during NEXT Summit Valletta week. Organised by NEXT.io, it brought together operators, platform companies, executives and investors with an interest in prediction markets. Sessions covered oversight by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, the competitive effect of prediction markets on traditional sportsbooks and the regulatory position of the new category. The agenda also took in social casino, sweepstakes and skill based gaming, with an emphasis on regulatory change and the commercial opportunity for gambling companies.
