General
What is iGaming Times?
iGaming Times is an independent news and intelligence publication for the online gambling industry. We report on regulation, operators, suppliers, payments, affiliates and the people behind them, and we build reference tools around that coverage: a company directory, a glossary of industry terms, a regulatory map, an events calendar, the iGT 25 index of listed gambling companies, and a free learning hub.
Who writes iGaming Times?
Our editorial team writes every story. Press releases are a source we check rather than a story we run; the ones we do carry sit in a separate, labelled Press Release section, kept apart from our reporting and out of our news feeds. Every article carries a byline, and the team page lists who we are. Corrections are made in the article with a note when they matter to the meaning.
Is iGaming Times free to read?
Yes. Every article, the directory, the glossary, the learning hub and the reference sections are free, with no paywall and no registration wall. Creating a free account adds comments, learning progress and newsletter preferences, but you never need one to read.
How is iGaming Times funded?
Through advertising on the site and in the newsletter, and through partnerships with industry events. Sponsored placements are always marked as such, and advertisers have no say in editorial coverage. If you would like to advertise or partner with us, get in touch.
How do I contact the editorial team?
Use the contact page or email editorial@igaming-times.com. For a story tip, a correction or a right of reply, that address reaches the editors directly. For directory listings and claims, see the directory questions below.
Do you cover a specific region?
No. We cover regulated and regulating markets worldwide: the United Kingdom and Europe, the United States and Canada, Latin America, Africa and Asia-Pacific. Country-level coverage, licensing status and the regulator for each market are collected on the regulatory map and the individual country pages.
Account
Do I need an account?
Not to read. An account is free and adds three things: you can comment on articles, your progress through learning hub courses is saved to your profile, and you can manage your newsletter preferences in one place. Create an account with an email address and password, or sign in with Google.
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
Go to the sign-in page and choose the forgotten password link. We email you a reset link that works for a limited time. If it does not arrive, check your spam folder and that you are using the address you registered with.
How do I change my email address or name?
Sign in and open your profile. Name, job title, company and avatar are editable there. Changing the email address on an account is done by our team for now, so contact us from the address currently on the account.
How do I delete my account?
Email editorial@igaming-times.com from the address on the account and ask for deletion. We remove the account, its profile and its comments, and we confirm by reply. Newsletter subscriptions are separate; use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter or your profile to stop those.
What do you do with my data?
We hold what you give us (name, email, profile details, comments, learning progress) and use it to run the account and, only if you opted in, to send the newsletter. We do not sell personal data. Analytics runs only with your consent, which you can change at any time from the cookie settings link in the footer. The privacy policy has the full detail.
Editorial & content
How do you decide what to cover?
We cover what changes the industry: regulation and enforcement, licensing decisions, results and deals, product and technology moves, and the people in charge. We prioritise primary sources (regulators, filings, court documents, company statements) and we say where a claim comes from. A story with no source we can name does not run.
Can I send you a press release or a story tip?
Yes, to editorial@igaming-times.com. Releases are read and used as sources. Some are published in our Press Release section, clearly labelled as such and kept separate from our reporting. Tips can be anonymous. If you are pitching a partnership or a sponsored placement, say so in the first line so it reaches the right person.
How do I request a correction?
Email editorial@igaming-times.com with the article link and what is wrong. Factual errors are corrected in the article with a note; disagreement with an analysis is offered a right of reply. We aim to respond within one working day.
Can I republish or quote your articles?
You can quote a short passage with a link back to the article. Republishing a full article, or translating it, needs written permission; ask editorial@igaming-times.com. Our RSS feed is at /rss.xml for readers and aggregators.
Do you accept guest articles or sponsored content?
We run a small number of expert opinion pieces from people working in the industry. They are edited to our standards, carry the author's name and role, and are not paid for. Sponsored content is possible and is always labelled as sponsored; it is handled by the commercial team through the contact page, not the editors.
Where do I find explanations of industry terms?
Regulatory map
What is the regulatory map?
The regulatory map shows the legal status of online gambling in every country and, where regulation is sub-national, in states and provinces. Each country page lists the regulator, the licensing model, key rules and our coverage of that market. It is maintained by the editorial team from primary sources.
How current is the regulatory information?
Country pages are updated when a law, a licensing round or an enforcement action changes the picture, and each page shows when it was last reviewed. Regulation moves quickly; if you are making a licensing or compliance decision, treat the map as a briefing and confirm with the regulator or a licensed adviser. The directory lists gambling law firms by jurisdiction.
Can I suggest a correction to a country page?
Yes. Email editorial@igaming-times.com with the country, the point at issue and a source. Regulators and licensed operators who spot an error are especially welcome to write; we check and update quickly.
Does iGaming Times give legal advice?
No. We report on regulation and explain it, but nothing on the site is legal advice for your situation. For licensing, compliance or advertising questions in a specific market, speak to a lawyer licensed there. Our directory of gambling law firms is a starting point.
iGT 25 Index
What is the iGT 25 index?
The iGT 25 is our index of 25 publicly listed gambling companies, weighted by market capitalisation, that tracks how the sector is performing on the stock market. It covers operators, suppliers and platform companies listed in London, New York, Stockholm, Sydney and elsewhere, and its membership is reviewed every quarter under its published rules.
Where does the price data come from and how often is it updated?
Prices are taken from public market data four times each trading day (early morning, midday, late afternoon and evening, UK time), and the index page shows the time of the last update. It is an editorial reference, not a real-time feed: intraday moves are not shown.
Is the iGT 25 investment advice?
No. The index and the company pages are editorial information about listed gambling companies. They are not a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Share prices can fall as well as rise; take independent financial advice before investing.
Company directory
What is the company directory?
The directory is a reference of companies in the online gambling industry: operators, game studios and suppliers, platform providers, payment companies, affiliates, media, regulators and law firms. Each profile describes what the company does, where it is based and licensed, and links to every story we have published about it. It is written from the companies' own published information.
How do I get my company listed?
Use the submit a company form: name, website, a short description and your logo. You do not need an account. The editorial team reviews every submission, usually within a few working days, and you are emailed when the profile is live or if we need more information. Listings are free.
How do I claim or correct an existing profile?
Open the company's page in the directory and use the claim link. Claims are checked against the company's website and domain before they are approved; a verified claim marks the profile as verified and lets you keep it up to date. For a factual correction without claiming, contact us with the change and a source.
What does the Verified badge mean?
Verified means someone at the company has claimed the profile and we have confirmed they represent it. It says the details were confirmed by the company; it is not an endorsement, a licence check or a rating. Featured listings are a separate, commercial placement and are labelled as such.
Why is a company not in the directory?
We add companies as we cover them and as they are submitted, and the directory now runs to hundreds of profiles, so gaps remain. If a company you expect is missing, submit it or tell us. We do not list unlicensed operators serving regulated markets.
Events
Which events does the calendar cover?
The events calendar lists the industry's conferences, exhibitions, summits and awards worldwide, with dates, venue, organiser and our coverage of past editions. It concentrates on events for operators, suppliers, affiliates and regulators rather than consumer shows.
How do I get an event listed?
Email editorial@igaming-times.com with the event name, dates, venue, organiser, website and a short description. Listings are free and are reviewed before publication. Media partnerships, where we cover an event on site, are arranged through the contact page.
Does iGaming Times attend or partner with events?
Yes. We attend the major shows and partner with a number of events each year as a media partner, which means coverage before, during and after the event. Our current media partners are listed on the site. Partnership does not affect how we report on an event or its organiser.
Top 100 leaders
What is the Top 100 leaders list?
The Top 100 is our annual list of the people shaping the online gambling industry: chief executives, founders, regulators, product and technology leaders. It is compiled once a year from nominations and editorial research, and the published list carries a profile of each person.
How are people chosen, and can I nominate someone?
Nominations open for a fixed window each cycle and are announced on the site and in the newsletter; anyone with an account can nominate, including themselves. The editorial team then selects and ranks the list on impact in the year, not on nomination counts, and no place on the list can be bought.
Can I update a profile on the list?
Yes. If you are on the list and your role or company has changed, email editorial@igaming-times.com and we update the profile. Photos should be supplied by the person or their company and cleared for publication.
iGT Oracle
What is the iGT Oracle?
The Oracle is our reader poll on where the industry is heading: a set of questions about regulation, markets and technology that signed-in readers answer once per cycle. Results are published as an aggregate; individual answers are never shown.
Who can vote and how often?
Anyone with a free account can vote once per question per cycle, and can change their answer while the cycle is open. Votes are tied to the account so the count is one person, one vote; the account and the answer are not published together.
Learning hub
What is the learning hub?
The learning hub is a set of free, self-paced courses on how the online gambling industry works: regulation in the UK, Europe and the United States, platforms and technology, affiliate marketing, payments, responsible gambling, AI, and more. Each course runs to about two hours in short lessons, written by our editorial team.
Are the courses free, and do I get a certificate?
All courses are free. Progress is saved to your account so you can pick up where you left off, and your profile shows completed courses. There is no formal accreditation or certificate; the courses are for understanding the industry, not for regulatory qualification.
Where is my progress saved?
On your profile, once you are signed in. Each lesson you finish is recorded, and the course page shows what is left. If you read a lesson while signed out, nothing is saved; sign in first if you want the progress kept.
Can I suggest a course or use the material for training?
Yes on both counts. Suggestions go to editorial@igaming-times.com. Teams are welcome to use the courses for onboarding; each person should read on their own account so their progress is tracked. Copying the course text into your own materials needs permission.
