Finland's gambling supervisor has ordered six conditional fines paid this year for illegal gambling marketing, every one of them against a person rather than a company, while threatened fines for companies run to €1.2 million. It is the board's last full year in charge, and under the new Gambling Act a prohibition issued now can disqualify a licence applicant in 2027.

The former Secretary General of the European Gaming and Betting Association is the first Director General of the World Gaming and Betting Alliance, a Swiss association whose listed members are bet365, Entain, FDJ United, Flutter and EGBA itself. The Geneva commercial register shows it was founded on 9 July and already had Haijer as a signatory before EGBA announced he was leaving.

Betsson Group has set up the Betsson Foundation to coordinate its community and sports giving. It has published a governance outline and one project in Peru, but no funding commitment, no board and no spending figures to judge it by.

Chile's telecoms undersecretariat has sent internet providers a second list of betting sites to block within 48 hours, mostly new domains and mirrors of international betting brands. The industry group representing the operators says some of the domains go beyond what the courts ordered.

The state court that granted Spribe an injunction against NSX in April, then revoked it in July when a federal court suspended the developer's trademark, has now ruled on the merits: no trademark infringement, no copyright infringement, no unfair competition. It is the third Brazilian decision in a row to go against the Estonian studio, three days after a Brasília judge ordered it to police its own distribution.

The First Hall of the Civil Court granted Spribe an ex parte provisional injunction on 1 September covering two EU trademarks. The evidence the court cited is the kind operators can check for themselves: the two games appearing side by side in a search on Betsson, and a listing that credited Spribe's game to the wrong studio.
