The CLARITY Act failed on the Senate floor at 49 to 50 on 15 September 2026. The bill would settle which regulator oversees digital-asset markets, and with them the event-contract exchanges that now take sports positions. Its supporters have said they will bring a revised text back.
Resolution rule
YES if the full Senate records a passing vote on any bill whose primary purpose is a regulatory framework for digital-asset markets (the CLARITY Act or a successor) on or before 31 March 2027. NO otherwise. Checked on congress.gov.
