Volt

Volt is a payments company founded in 2019 that provides real time account to account payments, marketed as Pay by Bank. It began by building direct connections to real time payment rails across the United Kingdom, Europe and Australia so that merchants could accept bank payments that settle in seconds, and later added real time Volt Accounts and Virtual IBANs. Its platform covers checkout payments, refunds, payouts, fraud rules, account ownership checks and reconciliation, with use cases including high volume player deposits and withdrawals, trading platforms and wallet top ups. Volt now handles fiat and regulated stablecoins, including USDC, and holds direct regulatory authorisation in the UK, the EU and Australia, where it received an Australian Financial Services Licence from ASIC. It has raised a 60 million dollar Series B round and announced a partnership with Worldpay.
