iGT 25

iGT 25: the iGaming stock index

Twenty-five listed gambling companies in one market-cap-weighted index, priced every trading day. Share prices, market caps, weights, movers and a page for each constituent, from Flutter and DraftKings to Evolution, Entain and Aristocrat.

The iGT 25 is iGaming Times' benchmark for how the listed gambling sector is trading. It covers operators, suppliers, lotteries, platform and data companies and affiliates listed in New York, London, Stockholm, Paris, Milan, Athens and Sydney, weights them by market capitalisation with a 15% cap, and is priced from the previous session's close each trading morning. Every constituent has its own page with price history, key figures and the newsroom's coverage; the company directory profiles the businesses behind the tickers, the corporate and M&A desks report what moves them, and the iGT Oracle asks readers to call where the index and its biggest names finish the year.

What is the iGT 25 index?

A market-capitalisation-weighted index of 25 publicly traded gambling companies: operators, suppliers, platform and data providers, lotteries and affiliates, listed on ASX, Nasdaq Stockholm, NYSE, Nasdaq, Athens Exchange, Euronext Milan, Euronext Paris, London Stock Exchange, Nasdaq First North Stockholm. It gives one comparable read on how the sector is trading. Base value 1,000 on 19 September 2025; the level is chain-linked from daily closes since then.

It is the reference the newsroom uses when it reports results, deals and regulatory shocks, and it is free to cite with a link.

Methodology

  • Eligibility: a primary listing on a recognised exchange; more than half of revenue from gambling, as an operator or a supplier to operators; at least 15% of revenue from online channels, or a supplier whose products are used online; market cap of US$100m or more; regular trading. The online test is what keeps land-based casino groups out.
  • Selection: the 25 largest eligible companies by market cap at each quarterly review, with a buffer: a constituent stays while it ranks 35th or higher and a newcomer enters only from 20th or higher, so the list does not churn on small moves.
  • Weighting:full market capitalisation in US dollars (close times all economic shares at the day’s exchange rate), capped at 15% per constituent, recomputed daily. Shares outstanding are refreshed at each review from the public data source.
  • Calculation:chain-linked daily price return from 1,000 on 19 September 2025, using the previous close’s weights. A weekday is an index day when any constituent has a close; a name whose own exchange was shut carries forward at a zero return and its move lands on the next day it trades. A day with thin coverage is marked provisional or holiday-affected rather than dropped. The history keeps the composition in force on each day and is not restated when membership changes or when a rule does.
  • Reviews: the third Friday of March, June, September and December, effective the following Monday; delistings and acquisitions are handled on the last trading day. Every change is logged below.

Caesars Shareholders Approve Fertitta's $17.6 Billion Buyout as the FTC Review Becomes the Real Test

Caesars Entertainment shareholders approved Fertitta Entertainment's $31-a-share takeover at a special meeting in Reno on Tuesday, with votes in favour equal to about 65.4% of outstanding shares, the company confirmed in a filing on Wednesday. The deal now depends on a Federal Trade Commission second request and gaming regulators in every Caesars state, while a disclosure shows the President's managers sold a small Caesars holding in July.

Icahn's Directors Quit Caesars and the FTC Asks for More Before Tuesday's Vote

Jesse Lynn and Ted Papapostolou resigned "effective immediately" on 16 September and the Icahn Group waived its right to replace them, five weeks after the board declined to treat Icahn's $34 as superior to Fertitta's $31. Two days earlier the FTC asked both sides for more documents, which stops the antitrust clock until they comply. Shareholders vote on 22 September regardless.

iGT 25 index FAQs

What is the iGT 25 index?+

The iGT 25 is our index of 25 publicly listed gambling companies, weighted by market capitalisation, that tracks how the sector is performing on the stock market. It covers operators, suppliers and platform companies listed in London, New York, Stockholm, Sydney and elsewhere, and its membership is reviewed every quarter under its published rules.

Where does the price data come from and how often is it updated?+

Prices are taken from public market data four times each trading day (early morning, midday, late afternoon and evening, UK time), and the index page shows the time of the last update. It is an editorial reference, not a real-time feed: intraday moves are not shown.

Is the iGT 25 investment advice?+

No. The index and the company pages are editorial information about listed gambling companies. They are not a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Share prices can fall as well as rise; take independent financial advice before investing.

Data and disclaimer

The index and every constituent figure are updated once per trading day from the previous session’s close, most recently for 25 September 2026. Prices can lag the market; verify against the exchange before any decision. This is not financial advice. Past performance does not guarantee future results. The iGT 25 is an informational benchmark, not an investable instrument.
