"If Every Answer Sounds Like a Press Release, We Haven't Done Our Job": Inside iGaming SkyTalk

The team behind iGaming SkyTalk, the new interview series recorded on a parasail 200 metres above Golden Bay, explains why the industry needs another show, why it opened with an architect rather than a chief executive, and why the format is only half the pitch. "The setting gets your attention. The conversation has to earn the rest of it."

A Production Team That Says the Parasail Is Only the Hook
iGaming SkyTalk is the iGaming edition of SkyTalk, a format created by Satori Projects that puts a host and a guest on a parasail above the Maltese coast, alongside four cameras and a microphone, and records the conversation in the air. A sister edition, simply called SkyTalk, applies the same format to guests from every other industry. The boat and parasailing are provided by Aquamarine Watersports in Golden Bay.
The iGaming edition launches with Tobias Liauw, an architect at Omnitronics, discussing prediction markets, artificial intelligence and the technical forces reshaping the sector. Ahead of the premiere, iGaming Times put questions to the SkyTalk team about what the series is, why they think it is needed and how they plan to stop it becoming a promotional vehicle.
iGaming Times is the editorial partner for iGaming SkyTalk and will publish a write-up of every episode. Answers have been lightly edited for length and clarity.
The Idea
iGaming SkyTalk is about to launch. What is it, and what will people actually be watching?
iGaming SkyTalk is a new interview series that takes conversations about the future of our industry out of the studio and literally into the sky. Hosted by Stan Satori, each episode brings together people shaping iGaming to talk about technology, regulation, emerging markets, new business models, AI and where the industry is heading next, all while parasailing.

The flight creates the setting, but the conversation is the real focus. We want every episode to leave people with an idea, perspective or question worth thinking about long after the landing.
Where did the idea come from?
It started with a simple question: how do you take people out of the standard interview environment and create a conversation that feels genuinely different?
There are plenty of excellent podcasts, conference panels and studio interviews in iGaming. We didn't want to recreate another one with a different backdrop. We wanted the environment itself to become part of the experience.
Once you put two people in the air together, the dynamic changes. There is energy, a little unpredictability and a shared experience happening in real time. That became SkyTalk.
Why film interviews while parasailing? What does being in the air give you that a studio or a conference stage does not?
It changes the energy immediately. There is no desk between you, no conference stage and very little room for the usual corporate routine. You're sharing an experience while having the conversation, and that tends to make people more present.
It also gives us something visually unique without sacrificing substance. The view is spectacular, but ultimately it is there to support the conversation, not replace it. And there is something very fitting about discussing where an industry is going while looking at the world from a completely different perspective.
Why It Is Needed
The industry isn't short of podcasts and panel sessions. What gap are you filling?
We don't think the industry needs another podcast simply for the sake of having another podcast. What it can always use is a different perspective.
SkyTalk combines serious industry discussion with a format that feels less formal, more human and visually memorable. The goal is to create conversations that people actually want to watch, not simply content they feel they should watch because it covers an important topic.
The setting gets your attention. The conversation has to earn the rest of it.
The best conversations at industry events tend to happen away from the stage. Is SkyTalk trying to capture that?
Absolutely. Some of the most interesting industry conversations happen after the panel, over coffee, at dinner or somewhere between two meetings, when people stop presenting and simply start talking. That is the feeling we want to preserve.
SkyTalk is professionally produced and carefully structured, but the conversation itself should still have that off-stage quality: curious, direct and open enough to go somewhere unexpected.
Who is the series for?
Anyone who wants to understand where iGaming is going rather than only where it is today. That includes operators, suppliers, founders, technologists, investors, regulators and people building the next generation of products and businesses around the industry.

But we also want the conversations to remain accessible. You shouldn't need to work directly in the subject being discussed to find the episode interesting.
The People Behind It
Tell us about Satori Projects. Who are you, and what do you normally make?
Satori Projects is the company behind SkyTalk and the team responsible for developing the format, production and overall direction of the series.
We like projects where creativity and business meet: taking an idea, building the right structure around it and turning it into something distinctive and repeatable. SkyTalk is a good example of that approach. It brings together content, production, partnerships, industry relationships and a format that can grow far beyond a single episode.
Who runs SkyTalk day to day, and how is the work split between production and editing?
The production side owns the bigger picture: the guests, themes, questions, partnerships, logistics and what each episode ultimately needs to say.
The editor then has an equally important job: turning that material into a consistent SkyTalk experience. Every episode follows a recognisable structure, from the opening hook and pre-flight introduction, through the main conversation in the air, to the descent, landing and immediate reaction afterwards. That consistency gives the editor a strong framework, while every guest and conversation still makes the episode completely different.
Why partner with iGaming Times on the launch?
Because we want SkyTalk to exist inside the industry conversation, not only on our own channels. Working with iGaming Times gives the project a natural editorial platform and lets the strongest moments, ideas and discussions from each episode travel further than the full-length video itself.
For us, the best partnerships are not simply about distribution. They are about combining audiences, ideas and formats in a way that creates more value for everyone involved.
The Guests
What makes someone a SkyTalk guest?
A title alone isn't enough. We're looking for people who have something interesting to say about where the industry is going: people building, challenging, changing or deeply understanding a particular part of it.
They also need to be willing to have a real conversation. Curiosity matters. Personality matters. And being comfortable with leaving the studio behind definitely helps.
You are opening with a technical architect rather than a chief executive. Why start there?
Because some of the biggest changes in iGaming are being shaped by the people building the systems underneath it. We wanted to start with someone who could talk about technology from inside the engine room rather than from a corporate perspective.
The first conversation looks at prediction markets, AI, technology and some of the forces that could change how the industry operates over the coming years. For a series focused on the future, it felt like exactly the right place to begin.

How do you make sure the conversations stay candid rather than turning into a sales pitch?
By being willing to ask the question after the comfortable question.
SkyTalk isn't designed as a promotional interview. Guests can talk about what they are building and what they believe in, but we also want to understand the assumptions, risks and difficult questions behind those ideas. That means leaving room for disagreement, scepticism and answers that aren't perfectly packaged.
If every answer sounds like a press release, we haven't done our job.
What Comes Next
When does the first episode drop, and where can people watch it?
The first episode launches in October 2026. Full episodes will be available on the iGaming SkyTalk YouTube channel, with highlights, clips and additional coverage distributed through our social channels and together with iGaming Times.
Everything will also connect back through skytalkpodcast.com, where people will be able to follow the series as it develops.
How many episodes are planned, and how often will they be released?
We're building SkyTalk as an ongoing series, not a limited run. The minimum target is one new episode every month, with the ambition to release two episodes per month whenever production, weather and guest availability allow.
And we don't really see an end date. As long as iGaming continues to evolve, there will be new people, technologies, markets and ideas worth taking into the sky. So the plan is simple: make as many great episodes as we possibly can. The sky is the limit.
What would make the first series a success for you?
Not simply views. Success is when people start recognising SkyTalk as a place where interesting industry conversations happen, and when guests want to come on because they know they can have a different kind of conversation here.
We want people to arrive because the format caught their attention, but stay because the discussion was worth their time.
Why should people watch episode one?
Because it sets out exactly what we want SkyTalk to be. It's a conversation about some of the biggest questions facing the next generation of iGaming, including prediction markets, AI, technology and where the industry could be heading, with someone working directly on the technology side of that transformation.
And, of course, it all happens several hundred feet above the ground. There are easier places to have an interview. But that wouldn't be SkyTalk.
