Onfido is a London-founded identity verification company, established in 2012 and acquired by Entrust in 2024, providing automated document verification, biometric face matching, liveness detection and identity fraud detection used by online gambling operators, banks and marketplaces for account onboarding and age verification in Britain, Europe and North America. Its technology verifies identity documents from more than 195 countries, is certified against British and European age and identity standards, and now operates as part of Entrust's identity verification business.
