Macau's October GGR Falls 10% to MOP21.7 Billion Despite Golden Week

Macau's casinos won 10% less in October than a year earlier, the fifth monthly decline in a row and the second steepest of the year, even as the National Day holiday brought more than a million visitors. Year-to-date growth is down to 1.6%, but the government's budget figure is still well within reach.

Kalshi has almost doubled its valuation in under six months with a $1 billion Series G co-led by Wellington and Sequoia. The round was announced a day after Utah filed felony charges against the exchange and both co-founders, and the company's pitch to investors leans on its business beyond sport.

Maryland Judge Rules Intralot Should Have Been Allowed to Fix Its $260m Lottery Bid

A Baltimore circuit judge has reversed the contract appeals board that upheld Intralot's disqualification from Maryland's lottery systems tender, reportedly holding that a 2025 procurement law required the state to let it correct its minority business paperwork. It revives Intralot's case, not its award: the state threw out every bid in December, and Scientific Games is still running the lottery while it fights that decision.

CFTC Stays ProphetX's NFL Scorigami Contracts and Tells Novig Not to List Micro Markets

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission has opened a false-certification proceeding against two ProphetX contracts on whether an NFL game produces a never-before-seen final score, and stayed them before they traded. It is the first stay of a sports event contract on the CFTC's 2026 filings record, and it turns on the same "economic consequence" test the agency says sports contracts pass.

Ohio Gives Its Gaming Licensees Until 30 October to Stop Serving Prediction Markets

The Ohio Casino Control Commission has told every sportsbook, supplier, integrity monitor and testing laboratory it licenses to stop providing services "of any kind" to platforms offering sports event contracts in Ohio, or face reopened suitability investigations. With its cease-and-desist letters to the exchanges now challenged in court, Ohio is turning to the companies that keep them running.

The Times reports that the Chancellor will lift the main rate of machine duty by five points at next week's Budget, a quarter more than today but well short of the doubling campaigners wanted. Nothing is confirmed, the industry says any rise will cost jobs, and Rank's shares rose after the report.

Spain Opens Its Player Portal and Starts Testing a €700-a-Day Deposit Limit Across Every Online Operator

Spain's consumer affairs ministry has switched on a regulator-run system that will add up each player's deposits across all licensed online operators and stop them at €700 a day, €1,750 a week and €3,300 over four weeks, plus a portal that shows players their whole market footprint. The limit binds from March 2027, and players can lift it themselves after three working days.
