Under the Law on Gambling Business (No. 219-III of 12 January 2007), casinos may operate only within two designated gaming zones. Bookmaking offices permitted nationally; 2014 amendments created a licensed online bookmaking regime - all online bets must route through the single Centre for Record-Keeping Acceptance of Bets (TsUPIS). Online casino gaming remains prohibited and the Ministry maintains an active register of banned gambling websites.
