Alessa

Alessa

Alessa is an anti-money laundering (AML) compliance and fraud prevention software provider headquartered in Canada, serving banks, credit unions, money services businesses, fintechs and casinos. The company says it was founded in Jamaica in 2006, operated as CaseWare RCM before rebranding as Alessa in 2019, and was acquired by Canadian software group Valsoft Corporation in 2025 after a period under Tier1 Financial Solutions. Its casino and gaming software covers identity verification and KYC, sanctions, watchlist and PEP screening, risk scoring, case management and transaction monitoring of cage activity, with detection scenarios for chip walking, bill stuffing and minimal play. Regulatory reporting modules prepare and file reports including CTRs and SARs for FinCEN in the United States. The New York Racing Association is named as a user.
