Nederlandse Loterij

Nederlandse Loterij

Nederlandse Loterij is the Dutch national lottery and sports betting group, formed in 2016 by merging the foundations behind Lotto and Staatsloterij. Both were converted into private limited companies, Lotto B.V. and Staatsloterij B.V., under the holding company Nederlandse Loterij B.V. It trades through ten brands including Staatsloterij, Lotto, Eurojackpot, Miljoenenspel, Lucky Day, Krasloten and the TOTO sports betting and casino products, operating under five separate licences granted by the Kansspelautoriteit. TOTO is the state group's answer to the private operators that entered the Dutch online market when it opened in October 2021, which puts it in the same competitive position as Svenska Spel: a state operator holding lottery exclusivity while fighting for online share.
