Paf is a gaming company founded on the Åland Islands on 31 October 1966, to generate funds for the benefit of society. Its founding associations were the Red Cross, Save the Children, a public health foundation and a children's charity, and licensed gaming began on 1 January 1967. In 1973 Paf obtained sole rights to gaming on board Åland registered car ferries, and on 3 December 1999 it launched one of the first online gaming sites, developing its own games in the Paf Games Studio. The company offers casino, sports betting and other games, has its head office in Mariehamn, employs around 300 people and is entering new licensed markets. It is joining the Finnish industry association Rahapeliala ry ahead of Finland's licensing system, and all of its profit is used for the benefit of society.
The Åland operator behind mycasino.ch will give Meta licence documents and website addresses so Facebook and Instagram can tell Swiss licensees from offshore operators and their affiliates. Meta has said nothing publicly, and the pilot comes a week after Dutch operators took the platform to court.
