Pennsylvania Lottery
The Pennsylvania Lottery is the state lottery of Pennsylvania, headquartered in Middletown, Pennsylvania. It was created by Act 91 of 1971 and began selling its first game in March 1972. The Lottery says it is the only state lottery that designates all of its proceeds to programmes benefiting older residents, including property tax and rent rebates, free and reduced-fare transport, the PACE and PACENET prescription programmes, long-term living services and the Area Agencies on Aging; it reports more than $38.2 billion contributed since 1972. Its products include scratch-offs, draw games, Fast Play, Keno and Xpress Sports. PA iLottery launched in May 2018, making Pennsylvania the seventh US state to sell lottery games online. For the 2025-26 fiscal year it reported $4.44 billion in traditional game sales, $849 million in online sales and a profit of more than $1 billion.
