TAB New Zealand
TAB New Zealand is the statutory betting operator holding New Zealand's monopoly on sports and racing betting, established to fund the racing industry and sports bodies. In 2023 it entered a twenty-five-year strategic partnership under which Entain operates its betting business and technology, bringing the TAB onto Entain's platform while the statutory body retained ownership and the distribution of proceeds to racing and sport. Legislation in 2025 tightened the monopoly against offshore operators, and the TAB runs retail, online and on-course betting nationwide.
