Fanatics Sports & Casino merges three products into a single account and one FanCash balance. The prediction markets side reaches states where the sportsbook cannot go.
- Fanatics Betting and Gaming announced Fanatics Sports & Casino on 2 September, combining sportsbook, casino and prediction markets in a single app with one account and one FanCash balance
- The app is tied into the Fanatics ONE loyalty programme, and existing Sportsbook, Casino and Markets customers move across through an app update with balances, FanCash and status intact
- Fanatics says the experience is available coast to coast, including California, Texas, Florida, New York and Pennsylvania
- Fanatics Markets launched in December 2025 using Crypto.com Derivatives, a registered exchange, rather than pursuing its own multi-year filings
- The combination puts a regulated sportsbook and a federally registered prediction market behind one login, in a week when both models were in front of courts
One Login, Two Regulatory Regimes
Fanatics Betting and Gaming announced Fanatics Sports & Casino on 2 September. It merges the company's sportsbook, online casino and prediction markets into one application, with a single account, a single FanCash balance and integration into the Fanatics ONE loyalty scheme. Existing customers of any of the three products move across through an app update, keeping their account details, funds, FanCash and loyalty status.
The company says the experience is available coast to coast, and names California, Texas, Florida, New York and Pennsylvania. That list is the point of the exercise, because it mixes states where Fanatics holds a sportsbook licence with states where it does not and cannot.
The prediction markets component, Fanatics Markets, launched in December 2025 through Crypto.com Derivatives, a registered exchange already operating in the category. Using an existing registration let Fanatics enter without the multi-year filing process others went through.
The State List Is the Strategy
Naming California, Texas and Florida in a launch announcement for a betting app is a deliberate act, because Fanatics cannot offer sports betting in any of them. What reaches those customers is the prediction markets product, operating under federal derivatives registration rather than state gaming licences. So the single app is not really a convenience feature; it is a distribution mechanism that lets one brand present a continuous product to a customer in Dallas and a customer in Philadelphia, while the legal basis underneath changes at the state line. Every large operator is looking at the same structure, and Fanatics has now shipped it.
Merging the Wallet Is What Regulators Will Examine
One account and one balance across a licensed sportsbook and a federally registered exchange is elegant for the customer and complicated for everyone else. State regulators supervise the sportsbook, including responsible gambling tools, deposit limits and self-exclusion; the exchange side answers to a different regime with different obligations. A customer who self-excludes from the sportsbook in a licensed state has not necessarily excluded themselves from everything behind the same login, and a shared FanCash balance moves value between the two. Those are answerable questions and Fanatics will have answered them internally. They are also exactly the questions the state authority argument now heading to the Supreme Court is about, and a product that puts both regimes behind one login makes the boundary harder to describe, not easier.
Fanatics has built the thing the industry has been arguing about. The argument continues in court.
