The NCAA will report people who abuse college athletes online to a shared programme that sportsbooks and prediction exchanges can use to close their accounts. It is the first sport governing body to say so publicly, and it moves the fight over bettor harassment from campaigns to account enforcement.

DraftKings, FanDuel and Fanatics have pulled sports contracts from Utah since the state charged Kalshi and its founders, and Fanatics is leaving altogether. The federal bid to stop the prosecution goes before the judge who has already ruled that Utah's gambling laws apply to Kalshi.

Three Democrats who have spent since August questioning FanDuel's VIP programme have now asked DraftKings, BetMGM, Caesars, Fanatics, Kalshi and Polymarket to say how much their top customers lost before and after they were enrolled. The letters are requests, not findings, and the companies have until 5 November to answer.

The Ohio Casino Control Commission has told every sportsbook, supplier, integrity monitor and testing laboratory it licenses to stop providing services "of any kind" to platforms offering sports event contracts in Ohio, or face reopened suitability investigations. With its cease-and-desist letters to the exchanges now challenged in court, Ohio is turning to the companies that keep them running.

The Senate Commerce Committee chairman intends to file legislation after the 3 November midterms that would bar gambling-linked event contracts, sports included, unless a state or tribe authorises them, Bloomberg Law reports. No text, bill number or co-sponsor is public yet, and the window before this Congress ends is short.

Ontario's regulator has settled the first suspension it has sought against a licensed igaming operator, cutting five days to two and adding an independent audit. It has not said why the penalty shrank, when the site goes dark, or whether any money changes hands.

Polymarket's US exchange went to federal court in Columbus on the day Ohio's cease-and-desist deadline expired, leading with a constitutional claim the Sixth Circuit has not decided. Governor Mike DeWine says the state will now file suits of its own.

The league has used its commercial agreements, not a state rule, to strip out the bet types at the centre of the Jontay Porter and Terry Rozier cases before the 2026-27 season. Prediction markets, where it has no agreements, are untouched.

The leagues' new campaign with the National Council on Problem Gambling tells fans that trading on a prediction market puts their money at risk just as a sports bet does, weeks after the NBA was reported to be close to its first prediction-market deals. The release names no budget, no creative and no start date.

DraftKings and FanDuel gave $3.5 million each in the latest reporting period, taking Tax Relief Nebraska's fundraising to $14.65 million for two online sports betting measures on the 3 November ballot. The committee registered to oppose them had reported nothing raised or spent by the same date, on Ballotpedia's count.

Encore Boston Harbor produced $62.8 million of the three casinos' revenue, up from $95.7 million in July across the state, and the seven mobile books plus three retail counters generated just over $47 million of taxable sports revenue. DraftKings settled $275.1 million of it, nearly twice FanDuel, in the last full month before the NFL.

The Indian Gaming Association chair told Gaming America that more tribal lawsuits are coming after the Ninth Circuit, that DraftKings' tribal partnerships in Connecticut, Arizona and Washington are at risk over its prediction-market push, and that the Supreme Court will rule against Kalshi. CNIGA's James Siva: "We're keeping track."

New Jersey's total gaming revenue fell 4.1% to $615.7m as eight of nine casino floors lost ground and a late football calendar cut sports betting revenue to $61.4m. Online casino rose 4.4% to $259.3m but came off July's record, and for a second month the floor out-earned the internet. The summer as a whole was the resort's best in ten years.

The Giants, Jets and Bills all won and covered, the opening week tied the NFL's highest-scoring on record, and the state's eight mobile books kept $17.0m of $594.6m. Fanatics held 1.1%. Handle was up 12.7% on last year's opener in the same week prediction markets traded more than $3bn on a single Sunday.

The site compares equivalent contracts across Kalshi, Polymarket, Novig, Underdog, FanDuel Predicts, Fanatics and five others, with a cross-venue engine for multi-leg positions and Genius's live game data underneath. It runs on Legend, the media business whose $1.2bn purchase in February sank the shares. Mark Locke says most prediction-market demand "appears new".

The NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and MLS and their players' unions have sent a joint memo to state gaming regulators asking for mandatory lifetime exclusions, a shared list and a single reporting channel. Five states already do something like it. The memo does not reach the bettors on prediction markets.

For eight months the league's policy rested on one anonymously sourced report. Now its communications director has spelled it out: no prediction market advertising in games, stadiums, club deals or player endorsements, and sportsbook partners may only advertise an approved product, not the company.

Adjusted EBITDA of €162.5 million, a third guidance upgrade this year, and North American revenue up 161%. The driver is a motor-racing and slot hybrid running with Hard Rock Bet in Florida that settles on historical race results rather than a random number generator, and Playtech is telling investors not to annualise it.

Fanatics Sports & Casino merges three products into a single account and one FanCash balance. The prediction markets side reaches states where the sportsbook cannot go.

A promotional offer went twice to a VIP customer who had self-excluded. The cash penalty is trivial. The settlement also requires a 26-month lookback across every text the operator sent.

The league confirmed three multi-year sportsbook deals on Thursday, five months after the category emptied. The most consequential line is the one about who is not in them.

FanDuel, DraftKings and Caesars all walked away from the category this year and it sat vacant through the summer. Fanatics has taken it on a non-exclusive deal, and the reason the others left has not gone anywhere.

Flutter's outgoing CEO Peter Jackson has confirmed FanDuel is content to act as a futures commission merchant directing users to third-party exchanges, positioning the operator ahead of a proposed CFTC rule that would restrict the market-making activities of exchange-affiliated firms. The strategy is forecast to generate $50 million this year, even as overall US performance falls short of plan.

A senior Fanatics executive has publicly argued for stronger consumer protections in the prediction markets sector at the same moment the company is scaling its own event-contract offering, placing the operator in a position that is as commercially revealing as it is regulatory.
