Konami Group's Gaming & Systems segment earned ¥2.4 billion, approximately $15 million, in the six months to September, up 154% on stronger Solstice cabinet sales. It still produced only about 2% of a group profit that video games pushed to a first-half record.
- Konami Group's Gaming & Systems business profit rose 154.4% to ¥2,414 million in the six months to 30 September 2026, from ¥949 million
- Segment revenue rose 41.3% to ¥25,112 million, approximately $159 million, and Konami put the segment's margin at 10%, against 5% a year earlier
- Konami credited Solstice 49C cabinet sales and said more than 150,000 slot machines now run on its SYNKROS casino management system
- The segment produced about 2% of group business profit, as video games drove record first-half results and a raised forecast
- Full-year segment guidance stays at ¥46.0 billion of revenue and ¥6.5 billion of profit, as Konami's gaming unit eyes Japan's first casino resort
Solstice Cabinets Drove a Stronger Half in North America and Australia
Konami Group reported Gaming & Systems revenue of ¥25,112 million for the six months to 30 September 2026, against ¥17,768 million a year earlier, in results published on 29 October. Segment business profit rose to ¥2,414 million from ¥949 million. Pachinko and pachislot machines are reported separately.
Konami described the North American and Australian markets as stable, with casino openings and replacement demand creating placements. It attributed higher unit sales to the Solstice 49C, with its curved 49-inch display, and added the Solstice 27 and the 75-inch Solstice SuperNova, both shown at Global Gaming Expo 2026, where IGT unveiled its new brand. The Bomberman series led Konami's North American content sales, and Dragon Rush and Bull Rush Stampede sold well in Australia. Konami did not disclose unit shipments or a regional split of segment revenue.
SYNKROS Passed 150,000 Connected Machines
More than 150,000 slot machines are now connected to SYNKROS, Konami said, with adoption spreading across casinos and Carnival Corporation's cruise ships. Its presentation lists new casino installations in California and Arizona during the quarter. Konami also expanded Class II installations in Texas and Washington. On iGaming, its outlook says only that it will make popular content available on more online platforms; no online revenue was given.
Video Games Drove a Record Group Half
Group revenue rose 37.0% to ¥307,975 million, approximately $1.95 billion, and profit attributable to owners of the parent rose 70.5% to ¥79,238 million, approximately $502 million, both first-half records according to Konami. Digital Entertainment produced ¥107.5 billion of business profit. Konami raised its full-year forecasts for revenue to ¥583 billion from ¥505 billion and for net profit to ¥135 billion from ¥101 billion, citing eFootball and Yu-Gi-Oh!. The Gaming & Systems forecast was unchanged at ¥46.0 billion of revenue, approximately $291 million, and ¥6.5 billion of business profit, approximately $41 million, against ¥43.1 billion and ¥3.6 billion in the year to March 2026.

Most of the Extra Revenue Fell Through to Profit
Revenue rose by about ¥7.3 billion and segment profit by about ¥1.5 billion, so roughly one yen in five of the additional revenue reached profit, four times last year's margin. That leaves the result dependent on one product family: Konami's own outlook warns that competitors' launches demand "stronger product appeal", and the documents do not separate one-off machine sales from recurring systems and game revenue.
The Unchanged Guidance Assumes a Smaller but Richer Second Half
On Konami's rounded figures, the targets leave about ¥20.9 billion of revenue and ¥4.1 billion of profit for October to March, against about ¥25.3 billion and ¥2.7 billion in last year's second half. That implies lower revenue but higher profit, a margin near 20% against 10% in the first half. Konami gave no reason for holding the forecast. With 55% of the annual revenue target already booked, the revenue line looks cautious; the profit line is the harder test.
Casino Equipment Is a Small Part of the Konami Story
The segment is about 8% of group revenue and about 2% of business profit. Yet Konami is one of three stocks, with Aristocrat and Light & Wonder, that mostly set the AGEM index's headline, so a supplier benchmark partly tracks a video game publisher. At home, AGBrief reports that Konami Gaming in July became the first equipment maker to lodge licence applications with Japan's Casino Regulatory Commission, ahead of MGM Osaka, scheduled to open in 2030.
Konami's casino arm has doubled its margin to 10% on one cabinet family and a growing systems base. Its own guidance asks for a second half that is smaller in revenue and richer in profit, and that is where the gains will be tested.
