Namibia: gambling regulation and licensing

Namibia's lottery sector is regulated by the Lotteries Board of Namibia, the statutory authority mandated to regulate, oversee and monitor all lottery activity under the Lotteries Act, 2017. Its remit covers public, private, benevolent and promotional competitions, and it works through continuous monitoring, compliance inspections and stakeholder engagement. Board members are appointed by the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism.
