ATG, Aktiebolaget Trav och Galopp, is the Swedish horse race betting operator, founded by the state in 1974 to give trotting and thoroughbred racing long-term financial stability. Its activity is governed by a contract between its owners and the Swedish state, and the trotting and breeders association Svensk Travsport holds about 91% of it. Its best-known product is V75, the largest pool betting game in Sweden and one that draws bettors internationally. Since the 2019 re-regulation it has held a Swedish licence and expanded beyond racing into sports betting and casino, and it also operates in Denmark. The funding-the-sport structure it was built on is the same one PMU serves in France and the Tote in Britain, and it is the reason racing bodies across Europe watch its governance closely.
