Aristocrat Interactive Signs Six-Year iLottery Deal with Michigan Lottery

Aristocrat Interactive has entered into a significant six-year agreement with the Michigan Lottery, committing to provide a comprehensive range of iLottery
Aristocrat Interactive has entered into a significant six-year agreement with the Michigan Lottery, committing to provide a comprehensive range of iLottery products and services. The deal, set to commence in July 2026, also includes options for six additional one-year extensions, signifying a renewed and long-term partnership between the entities.
This agreement marks a new phase in a longstanding collaboration that began in 2014, when Aristocrat’s NeoGames platform initially powered Michigan’s iLottery launch. The Michigan Lottery was notably one of the first state-run lotteries in the United States to introduce eInstant games to its portfolio. The new agreement reflects a continued investment in digital lottery services and innovation within the state. The iLottery products and content for this expanded partnership will be developed by NeoGames Studio, Aristocrat Interactive’s in-house content arm.
Technology and Tools for Growth
Under the terms of the agreement, the Michigan Lottery will continue to leverage Aristocrat Interactive’s iLottery technology. This comprehensive suite of operational tools includes a player account management system, a draw-based game engine, a business intelligence solution, and a customer and data engagement platform. These tools are designed to support the lottery’s efforts to expand its player base and optimise revenue. The integrated use of business intelligence and data engagement is expected to enhance player experience while simultaneously improving operational efficiency for the Michigan Lottery.
Michigan: A Leader in iLottery
Michigan continues to hold a prominent position in the U.S. iLottery sector, consistently ranking high in both total iLottery sales and sales per capita. The state’s ongoing focus on innovation and digital expansion has been instrumental in keeping it ahead of many other state lotteries. The latest agreement between Aristocrat Interactive and the Michigan Lottery reflects the state’s continued drive to support public education through lottery-generated funds. In Michigan, proceeds from lottery operations are directly allocated to the School Aid Fund, underscoring the social benefit of the partnership.
Suzanna Shkreli, Commissioner of the Michigan Lottery, commented on the collaboration, as reported by iGaming Times, stating that it “is a sign of our commitment to being a leader in the iLottery space and a win for players and public education in Michigan as we look to further enhance our offerings, deliver an entertaining iLottery experience, and drive incremental revenue to the School Aid Fund.”
Chris Shaban, Managing Director of Aristocrat Interactive iLottery, also welcomed the agreement. As reported by iGaming Times, Shaban stated that “The Michigan Lottery is a trailblazer in the U.S. iLottery industry, and we’re proud to be a strategic partner for their business.” He added, as reported by iGaming Times, that “This multi-year agreement is a testament to the proven strength of the Aristocrat Interactive platform, our commitment to innovation, and the long-term value we provide to our customers.”
The agreement with the Michigan Lottery follows Aristocrat Interactive’s recent strategic move to expand its international presence. The company recently signed a contract with Logifuture to enter the Mexican iLottery market, further signalling its global ambitions within the digital lottery sector.
In conclusion, Aristocrat Interactive’s new six-year iLottery agreement with the Michigan Lottery, building on a decade-long partnership, solidifies its role as a key technology provider for one of the leading US iLottery markets. The deal highlights continued investment in digital innovation, aiming to enhance player experience and boost revenue for public education, while underscoring Aristocrat Interactive’s broader global expansion strategy in the digital lottery space.
