Galaxy Entertainment Group

Galaxy Entertainment Group

Galaxy Entertainment Group is one of the six licensed casino operators in Macau, listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and a constituent of the Hang Seng Index. Through Galaxy Casino S.A. it was one of the three original concessionaires when Macau liberalised gaming in 2002, and it was awarded a new ten-year concession running from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2032. It was built by the late Lui Che Woo, who chaired both Galaxy and the property developer K. Wah International until his death in November 2024, and is now led by his son Francis Lui. Its flagship Galaxy Macau opened on the Cotai Strip in May 2011 and has been expanded twice since, in May 2015 and December 2023, reaching eight hotels, around 5,000 rooms and a gaming floor of roughly 400,000 square feet.
