British Columbia Lottery Corporation

British Columbia Lottery Corporation

The British Columbia Lottery Corporation is a Crown corporation founded in 1985 and headquartered in Kamloops, British Columbia. It conducts and manages all lottery, sports betting and casino gambling in the province. Its PlayNow platform is the only licensed online casino operator in British Columbia, and BCLC also supplies it into Manitoba and Saskatchewan, making it the closest thing Canada has to a multi-province online gaming operator outside Ontario's open market. The corporation has delivered 28 billion Canadian dollars to the province since 1985. It has also been at the centre of British Columbia's money laundering debate, which drove the Cullen Commission and reshaped source-of-funds requirements across Canadian casinos.
