QuinnBet is an online bookmaker serving the British and Irish markets, owned by the family of the Irish businessman Seán Quinn. It relocated its operating company to Gibraltar in 2023, trading as Quinnbet (Gibraltar) Limited, without changing its presence in either of its home markets. It holds a Gambling Commission licence for Great Britain alongside Gibraltar and Irish permissions. In August 2026 it agreed a 609,104 pound regulatory settlement with the Gambling Commission covering the period from March 2023 to August 2025, following findings on anti-money laundering controls and social responsibility, including an over-reliance on manual intervention and a manual deposit-limit process for customers aged 18 to 24.

The Gambling Commission has suspended the remote licence of Targetlocal Ltd, the Swansea company behind kenhowells.com, after enquiries it says revealed anti-money laundering failings. It is the third British online bookmaker suspended pending a licence review in less than a month.
The Gambling Commission found a player who placed 4,800 bets in a day and 7,000 the next without triggering a warning, and another who staked more than £215,000 in a single session and was flagged the following morning. The controls existed. They were manual, and they were too slow.
