William Hill

William Hill is a British bookmaker founded in 1934, operating around 1,300 licensed betting shops across Britain and an online sportsbook, casino, bingo and poker business, licensed by the Gambling Commission and in Ireland, Gibraltar, Italy, Spain and other markets. It was acquired by Caesars Entertainment in 2021, which kept the US business and sold the international operations to 888 Holdings in 2022; 888, renamed evoke in 2024, now runs William Hill alongside 888 and Mr Green from London and Gibraltar. William Hill remains the largest retail bookmaker in Britain by shop count and one of its largest online brands.
