President José Antonio Kast's government has finally filed its amendments to Chile's stalled online betting bill, pairing a 22% effective tax on gaming revenue with a ban on all betting advertising. Senators from several parties immediately called the tax too low.

The Philippine operator behind BingoPlus and ArenaPlus says it dropped out of the last rounds of New Zealand's auction for the right to apply for an online casino licence, citing "market values". It is the second overseas plan to stall in a month, after Brazil's ban.
