It listed on the Athens Stock Exchange in 2001 and was fully privatised in 2013 after a series of offerings and international tenders. Allwyn, the group built by the Czech businessman Karel Komárek out of Sazka, holds 51.78% of it, and in October 2025 the two agreed an all-stock merger valuing the combination at around 16 billion euros, with Allwyn holding 78.5% and OPAP minorities the remaining 21.5%. OPAP separately bought the Greek and Cypriot business of Stoiximan, which is why the Stoiximan brand sits with OPAP domestically while Kaizen Gaming keeps it in Cyprus-facing and international markets under Betano.
