Quebec has not followed Ontario in opening its online market to licensed private competition, so Espacejeux remains the only provincially sanctioned online option.

Its scale is largely built by acquisition. In April 2024 its subsidiary GBO completed a 639 million euro purchase of SKS365, bringing the PlanetWin365 sportsbook and PlanetPay365 casino into a portfolio that already held Goldbet, Better, Lottomatica.it and Betflag. The combination took the group to roughly 29.1% of the Italian online market, and made it the clear leader in a market where Flutter and Entain are the other two significant forces.
