iGaming Ontario

iGaming Ontario (iGO) is the provincial agency that conducts and manages Ontario's regulated online gambling market, opened in April 2022, entering operating agreements with private operators who are registered by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, which sets the standards on advertising, inducements, responsible gambling and technical requirements. iGO collects the province's share of revenue, publishes quarterly market reports and, under 2025 legislation, became independent of the regulator; the Ontario model is the one Alberta is adopting.
