Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario

The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulates gaming, alcohol, cannabis retail and horse racing in Ontario, registering the private operators and suppliers in the province's online market alongside iGaming Ontario, and setting the Registrar's Standards for Internet Gaming that govern advertising (including the 2024 ban on athletes and celebrities appealing to minors), inducements, responsible gambling and technical requirements. It also regulates the province's land-based casinos and lottery under the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.
